El Segundo Child Care is a structured family home daycare specializing in the care of infants and toddlers through 30 months (2½ years) of age.
Our program is intentionally small, allowing us to provide the individualized attention, close relationships, and continuity of care that young children need during their earliest years.
We believe children thrive when they feel safe, known, and connected. Our small group environment allows children to build meaningful relationships with their care teachers while learning and growing alongside a familiar group of friends.
Individualized Care Within a Structured Environment
While our days have a predictable rhythm and structure, we don’t believe every child needs to do the exact same thing at the exact same time.
Each day, our environment is thoughtfully prepared around the children who are present that day their moods, interests, developmental needs, curiosity, and energy. Activities and experiences change from day to day because we follow the children and what they bring into our community. There is room for exploration, movement, creativity, music, sensory experiences, outdoor play, quiet moments, and plenty of opportunities for connection.
Our structure provides security. Our flexibility allows each child to be themselves.
Continuity of Care Matters
One of the foundations of our program is consistency.
Our core team of care teachers has been part of our community for 7–10 years and counting. This long term continuity allows children to grow within a familiar environment surrounded by caregivers who know them not just their schedules, but their personalities, preferences, rhythms, and individual needs.
For families, this means trusted relationships and a sense of belonging. For children, it means seeing familiar faces and knowing, “These are my people. This is my place.”
Small by Design
Our small enrollment and high adult-to-child ratio allow for lots of interaction and individualized attention.
We don’t view children simply as part of a group. We get to know each child as an individual while also giving them the beautiful experience of growing within a small community.
Here, there is time to slow down, listen, respond, encourage, comfort, celebrate, and genuinely connect.
We are small by design because we believe the early years deserve to be personal.
At El Segundo Child Care, our goal is not simply to provide childcare. We strive to create a warm, structured, consistent community where infants and toddlers feel secure, supported, curious, and loved while they grow.
